English “Access” Program for 200 Karachi students


KARACHI: Consul General Grace Shelton joined 200 students and faculty on August 10 for the opening ceremony of the United States government-supported English “Access” program.

English “Access” is a two-year, after-school, English language and leadership development program for underprivileged students in Karachi.  The English “Access” program is designed to provide an opportunity for outstanding Pakistani students to improve their English and learn skills that will help them achieve their future career and educational goals.

Consul General Shelton encouraged students to use the skills they learn as participants to help build for themselves a brighter future and to mentor others in their families and communities so that brighter future can extend to all of Pakistan.
